Oarsman Before the Sun

This work of Public Art was originally commissioned by the City of Fernandina Beach (FL) and the Amelia Island Tourist Council to include debris from Hurricane Matthew. Final piece was a tribute to the ability to rebuild. 14ft tall. Driftwood, boat oars, and 24K gold. On loan at Peter’s Point from 2017-2018. In the summer of 2018, it is being rehabbed and moved to St. Paul’s (MN) Raspberry Island, a central location in the heart of the City, where it will be on permanent loan to the Minnesota Boat Club, one of the State’s oldest non-profits.
